Encountered the strangest bug using combination of xterm + tmux + vimwiki. The `VimWikiGoBackLink` function using the backspace key is not working. It simply behaves as a backspace key.
*However* it acts like that only locally. If I ssh into the machine, start tmux, then start Vimwiki it *does* work as expected.
Open xterm and start Vimwiki (no tmux) it works as expected.
It also works in other terminals (urxvt, lxterminal).
I'm at a loss how to fix this.
VimWiki: I write my notes in the terminal, like a monster

I just don't understand it. Everything always works in #YouTube #tutorials and when I recreate it, it doesn't.
I'm currently trying to expand my #vimwiki with #taskwiki, but it's not passing the data on to #taskwarrior. But since there are no errors, I don't know where to look. I'm annoyed.
Bin genervt.
If you are a #Neovim user and you like #vimwiki take a look at:
https://github.com/Nedra1998/nvim-mdlink
I replaced Vimwiki with Neorg for a while but it's a bit complicated and requires learning a new syntax. (So many good features if you really learn how to use it). But I prefer simplicity of markdown documents so I'm using #mdlink with https://github.com/MeanderingProgrammer/render-markdown.nvim right now

I've been using vimwiki for years (using wiki syntax instead of markdown unfortunately) but have been going through a modernization kick lately (moving to neovim, rewriting all my config in lua, etc). tl;dr: debating migrating away from vimwiki. Any strong thoughts out there? Mostly debating between these options but I'm open to others. #vim #neovim #wiki #vimwiki #obsidian
Despite using #vim for about two decades... I never really used folding. Well, today, I decided to try using #vimwiki again to make a todo list of things I need to accomplish as I prepare for the upcoming semester.
Because the list was getting long (setting up a course is a lot of tedious work), I decided to finally learn how to fold... and I like it!
I even setup automatic saving and restoring of views:
https://vim.fandom.com/wiki/Make_views_automatic
Maybe one day I'll move to neovim... (that day is not today)
Mist bin doch ins Loch gefallen und benutze jetzt #Obsidian und synchronisier den Kram mit #syncthing. Jetzt heisst es #VimWiki umziehen
Applied some colors to my #Obsidian graph to help me visualize the source of my huge imported-orphans halo.
Green (except for the one graph-center, which is my index) is #Evernote, yellow is #AppleNotes, blueish is #Vim's #VimWiki.
@0x17 Generally, my #vimwiki index pages are long-form written summaries of each wiki's scope and intention, with links to sections interspersed in the paragraph(s). Lists in/as the index work ok for some wikis, but I prefer using fzf + ripgrep as a way to navigate.
I believe that using tags smartly, and dropping them throughout the wiki mostly obviates using lists to organize or index material.
Are #vimwiki users here? I need inspiration for structuring the index page. Show me yours
@jens I'm using #vimwiki on my side for my #zettelkasten system. I think the main thing is to be able to retrieve, and organize the information you need quickly...

@zerok I enjoyed that book, even if I'm more a #zettelkasten fan.
Obsidian is only on my phone that I sync with syncthing on my laptop where I use #vimwiki for all my notes
