Has there ever been a clinical study of why FLOSS/GNU/Linux people behave like that?

1. Person: Unrelated topic.
2. FLOSS: WELL ACTUALLY
3. Person: Not helpful.
4. FLOSS: WHY NOT? U R MEEN!

The fuck is wrong in their brains? That they think people want unhelpful "answers" and then get upset when you tell them how unhelpful they're being?

Were they not beaten enough as children/adults? Too much? Should we escalate to electric shocks and waterboarding or is there a "talking cure"?

I'm looking for free software that does video and audio editing. I don't really need any fancy features, I basically want to do the following:

* take a video track (with optional audio)
* take an audio track
* adjust time timeline
* merge them together (throwing away the bad audio)
* maybe add some fade-in and fade-out

I don't hate LibreOffice. It's overengineered and imitates MS Word too much, which is just disgusting, but they mostly aren't actively trying to be bad.

But the fucking autocorrect/suggestions are infuriating, turn them off under Tools, Autocorrect, Beware of the Leopard, checkbox for suggestions.

And currently it's spamming me with a banner to support open sores, like a goddamned Microsoft product with inline ads. Fuck right off, I'm trying to edit something here.

There's a #Firefox addon that fills out those "can we please track you forever?" cookie popups. I used it for years and loved it, but I lost it in a reinstall, and I cannot for the life of me remember what it's called.

it shows up as a dark blue box with light blue highlighting. If anyone knows what it is, please tell me. I miss it dearly.

Edit: SOLVED! It's consent-o-matic.
