Ein grandioser Tag.

Ich habe erfolgreich meine Mission "Skatteverket och Handelsbanken" absolviert.

Ich habe meine ganze Projektplanung erfolgreich in #Obsidian inkludiert, was mich WAHNSINNIG glücklich macht. Dieses Stück Software ist einfach nur wie für mich geschrieben.

Und ich habe im Vorratsschrank unseres Labs einen unlinierten Block gefunden. Was nicht so einfach ist, weil ich keine Ahnung hatte was "unliniert", "liniert" oder "kariert" auf Schwedisch heißt. Und mein Smartphone lag noch im Büro. Aber die Mission war erfolgreich!

So sieht mein #Postdoc Wissen nach der ersten Welle an Infos aus, die ich in #Obsidian eingetragen habe.

Was ich gerade auch sehr schätze ist dass man auch Referenzen zu Begriffen eintragen kann, für die man nicht explizit eine Karte anlegt. In meinem Fall etwa Machine Learning Modelle, die ich zwar notieren möchte und kenne, die mir für mein Projekt aber keinen besonderen Nutzen bieten. Video Analysis Models sind für historische Dokumente eher wenig hilfreich.

Aber ich kann trotzdem Vollständigkeit erzeugen. Und wenn mich das stört, kann ich diese Referenzen auch ausblenden lassen.

#Obsidian hat mit Version 1.9.2 (Catalyst) eine aktualisierte, objektorientierte Syntax für #Bases bekommen. Allerdings scheint das noch etwas buggy zu sein, denn meine Filter nach einem bestimmten Datumsbereich funktionieren nicht mehr und lassen sich auch mit der aktualisierten Syntax nicht mehr zum Leben erwecken.

In other news...

Ich habe #Obsidian für mich entdeckt. Eine Software, die alles in sich vereint, was ich seit Jahren gesucht habe. Ein Wiki, in dem ich die Seiten in Ordern gruppieren kann. Das mir erlaubt, Bilder und auch mathematische Formeln zu inkludieren.

Daneben stellt es meinen ganzen (inkludierten) Wissensstand auch als "graph view" dar, also als (un)gerichteten zyklischen Graphen. Sowas hab ich Ewigkeiten gesucht, weil ich hierarchisierte Mindmaps absolut leid bin.

Jedenfalls hab ich direkt angefangen, meinen ganzen Postdoc in einem "Vault" zu skizzieren. Projekte. Institutionen. Personen. Datensätze. ML-Modelle. Ansätze. Software.

Das mag für einige wie der absolute Horror klingen. Aber das ist EXAKT wie mein Kopf funktioniert. Diese Software macht mich unfassbar glücklich.

olog, my little #rustlang utility for logging to the daily journal in #Obsidian from the command line, has been renamed to 'obsidian-logging' and is now available to install directly from https://crates.io/crates/obsidian-logging

Some adjustments for running under Windows have been made, in addition to making a test suite.

Obsidian-logging will also now create a config file on first invocation.

A random #AskFedi for all the #Obsidian superusers out there: I would like to add a property to certain notes that keeps a count of the number of undone tasks it contains. I've found an inline Dataview script someone wrote that does the counting part, but I’m not finding a way to get that into a YAML property. (What I'm hoping to accomplish is to have a Base gathering all of my project files, and be able to see at a glance the number of undone tasks in each.)
