Tonight, at roughly (very roughly) 8:30 PM Eastern, I'll be streaming a new project: A Podcast Manager!
I'll be building it in #CSharp using #AvaloniaUI. I took care of all the boring plumbing (configuration, dependency injection, all that jazz) ahead of time, so we'll get to focus on the meat and potatoes of building out the UI and adding podcasts to it!

Has anyone come across issues with individual UI components pulling in data from an API?
I'm aiming for an architecture that will empower the front-end to make as much use of something similar to the SWR library in React and swrv in Vue.

As a designer/developer, design tokens make perfect sense to me. Much in the same way as variables or functions in code. Shared values reduce repetition and foster consistency.
As an information architect, I’m finding lots of flaws in how they’re created. Poor taxonomies kill the concept.

This is a really simple and illustrative explanation of asynchronous scripts vs defer scripts. It’s especially useful if you’re moderating page speed performance, accessibility, and SEO (which you should be).
