Wieder auf der Rückfahrt aus Hannover -
Gerade haben @hauschke und ich den Referendaren aus Niedersachsen etwas zu #FIS #CRIS erzählt.
War eine schöne Veranstaltung mit Input von uns und aktiven Elementen.
FAZIT: spannendes Thema, die Bibliotheken spielen schon eine Rolle und es wird ein zunehmend wichtigeres Thema.

Is there anyone who can help me understand how DSpace and DSpace-CRIS relate in terms of their governance?

To the best of my capacity, I understand it as: DSpace-CRIS is a hard fork of DSpace (in essence) and should be considered completely separated. But I feel highly uncertain about that assessment.

Thinking about perspectives. I started off as a classical #Openaccess repository. Then I embraced so called #CRIS or #RIMS functionalities to integrate @ORCID_Org This led to other #PID driven entities like projects or journals. … If this was already happening why not include #metadata only as well? We have the data, researchers might be inspired for Green OA.
