Happy from the charming !
This is a side entrance to the beautiful . It’s the second largest and second most important in Colmar, built between 1289 and 1346. We didn’t go inside to see the famous religious painting "Madonna of the Rose Bower" (which we weren’t aware of at the time), because kiddo had just tripped and taken a nasty tumble, bloodying their knees and screaming the whole city down. A memorable first day of our summer holiday last year

Takamatsu II,
mainbody is shaped by an elongated plinth lifting up a rectangular platform. On one side a black industrial switch is embedded in the platform, on the other side of the platform a small tower erects. On the front and back the towers roof is held up by two straight discs....

The Ex Church of Saint Barbatianus / L'Ex Chiesa di San Barbaziano for

There was a monastery here in 1123 and some sources even saying there has been religious settlements since the 5th century. In the 17the century it was reconstructed by the Girolamini order (you can see the date 1610 above this window). It's a deconsecrated church and has been closed since 1806. However it's been under reconstruction since 2019 so it may be open again soon to the public!

Today's work, a couple of miles up the dale. There's 6 or 7 of these gaps to sort in this wall around a hay meadow, I've done 4 now.

I got on quite quickly today and I'm glad to be out of the wind, which is gusting about 40mph from the west.

Eye to Eye

Not a double exposure, just the reflection of me off the glass panel in front of the statue. This statue is on the bottom of the staircase in Palazzo Pallavicini - a 15th century mansion which is an art museum!

The Passage / Il Passaggio for

Taken from inside one of the buildings of Il Cimitero Monumentale La Certosa in Bologna. If you look carefully you can see there are people resting in the walls and in the floor.

Burning the Midnight Oil for

I haven't changed any of the colours of the lights! I've only upped the brightness and a little bit of the saturation! I wish there were another couple of windows lit up - but alas there were not and I don't know how to Photoshop!
