Raven spoke to the “man,” “He desireth to witen wherfore.”

“Me? Not the talking raven?” Poe was astonished.

“Yes, you. The man who writes poems to dead women and talks to ravens at midnight.”

Poe flicked Raven.

“I’ll tell him,” Raven said indignantly.

Poe shook his head vigorously.

Incredibly, the 13th June 2015 I was chosen to meet Papa Francesco during the audience with 60000 Italian Catholic Scouts in Piazza San Pietro. At the time, I was a totally overenthusiastic and agitated 14 years old kid, he was made pope just a few months before.

We talked for almost one minute, holding hands.

I rambled many words with very little sense.

At some point, he asked me a question.

I replied, convinced.

He laughed, he told me I was right, and patted me on the head.

I have very little clarity about my Catholic faith right now, but I have no doubt about the incredible power of what I felt that day, during that conversation. I will remember it forever, and I will keep it in my heart, because I think it still holds true.

Maybe I will share our conversation, one day. Not today.

Today I will be super conflicted, mourning an incredibly prominent figure, while still figuring out what I believe in, while drinking wine and celebrating Pasquetta with friends.

I am scared of what will be coming next, more than I was when Francesco was alive.

Only togetherness will save us.

I've never heard of the Scout, as the company that manufactured it went out of business in 1980, but it's apparently making a comeback. Supposedly it was among the first true SUVs and has a dedicted following.

Volkswagen acquired the name four years ago and is running the company as a separate startup.

They're planning to make the update of the Scout an EV. It'll be designed, developed, manufactured and marketed in the United States. The expected release will not occur until 2027.

The company would like to sell direct to consumers, and is being sued by the National Automobile Dealers Association over the plan.

Unlike some EVs, these are expected to have door handles and physical buttons inside, in addition to touch screens.
