I don't think it's a problem that #MarkCarney owns shares in 100s of companies, but if his blind trust contains US$8M in options for Brookfield, yes that does create many conflicts of interest. As the #CPC has suggested, those options ought to be exercised, then the manager of the blind trust can reinvest the money elsewhere.
It's surprising that Mr. Carney didn't do so when he became PM, and disappointing that he wasn't more honest with Canadians.

Denver protesters slam escalations in Iran and Palestine, hold their ground against riot police
Denver, CO – On Sunday, June 29, the Colorado Palestine Coalition organized a protest in response to United States and Israeli escalations in Iran. They also called for an end to U.S. aid to Israel.
Over 60 people came out to march and as the crowd picked up steam after a few speeches they took the streets.

I just received a nonsensical #CPC fundraising robo-email, allegedly from Melissa Lantsman. In it, she states "Mark Carney may not know this because he hasn't spent a lot of time in parts of this country, but Canada is COLD!" Um, Mark Carney was born in Fort Smith, NWT, and grew up in Edmonton...while, outside of Ottawa, Melissa doesn't appear to have lived any further north than Thornhill. Are Conservatives this stupid? Or do they simply believe their base is this stupid? Or both? #cdnpoli #ClutchingAtStraws

@cbcnews I’m glad #CBC has published this gentle explainer but readers should know that what’s in this article has been know for more than 100 years. The impacts have been understood and explained for many decades. The problem is that governments have not acted. They have not acted because fossil fuels interests have spent billions to sow mis- and disinformation. They have ‘bought’ and control parties like the #CPC. Do something now.

All right, a substantive comment:
"One way to think about last month’s election is Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives consolidated the Right and Mark Carney and the Liberals consolidated the Left and the problem for the Conservatives is that the latter is bigger than the former." This is a major difficulty for someone trying to sell PR to #CPC supporters. At least under the current system the Conservatives win power from time-to-time; why wouldn't they be forever excluded with PR?
