There is loads of stuff in these Joypad issues that barely ever showed up in other magazines that I have, so I wanted to highlight some of this content.

First up is the big 11-page feature on the Consumer Soft Group Show in Tokyo from 1993. A show that I've only ever read about in Joypad as far as I recall.

Taken from Joypad 20 - May 1993 (France)

Something rather special today.
Up till now, I've only worked on English magazines.
UK publications to be more specific.
But as I'm starting to run out of issues to scan, I went digging into my collection for an old favourite, which helped shape my gaming tastes in the early 90's and beyond.
This is the legendary French publication Joypad.
I have around 150 issues of this, so plenty of work to be done.

While I haven't catalogued this series yet, the ones I'm missing seem to be before issue 18 an after 174.
So if you are looking to donate magazines, feel free to contact me.
I would also love to work on Consoles+ for instance.

As for right now, Joypad 20 - May 1993 (France) has just been added to the preliminary magazine catalogue.

Enjoy! 😚

Doing some early tests to see how to best scan and edit the JoyPad issues I have and some of the early ones need a ton of extra editing work as they have been well read all those years ago.

And not all the pages were cut very precisely at the printers, so I do want to fix those sides up which are cut off in a weird way.
Naturally, this will be done is such a way that's it's not even recognisable at all that there was work done on these, so no worries about anything looking off or strange. 😉

Just wanted to share a quick preview as I think they are turning out beautifully.

This is the import review for Lords of Thunder on PC-Engine Super CD-Rom2 from Joypad 20 - May 1993 (France)
