In testing a postgres upgrade (13->15) for our mastodon-servcer, I run into a fatal error 'Your installation contains user-defined objects that refer tointernal polymorphic functions with arguments of type "anyarray" or "anyelement". Haven't been able to find a fix for this online, and there seems to be no logfile to pinpoint the cause. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? #techquestion #mastoadmin #postgres

The /api/v2/instance says translation is actually enabled... But it just doesn't pop up in the web interface for like German or Czech posts #MastoAdmin
Hmm. I added the translation option to my Mastodon instance (with DeepL) but the "Translate" button does not appear in the Mastodon Web UI. Also tried wrapping the API key in single-quotes and added DEEPL_PLAN=free. Someone experience with this? #MastoAdmin
And we are back Thanks to them ;) #mastoadmin
Ok now we got the information that the host system the VM is running on has a defect. They are working on it but it will need some extra time. #hugops #mastoadmin
The technician isn't convinced yet to do what we want. We are still waiting. #mastoadmin
All of my pinned posts except the last one disappeared. I guess if the owner Sam has abandoned us & is not maintaining anything, I need to find a new server. Even though he posted he'd work with someone for new ownership, I heard he's ghosting everyone, even on Bluesky.
So...that's a problem.
Right now I'm looking at
https://planetearth.social/public/local
and
https://earthstream.social/public/local
Both are very small. Anybody know anything about them I should be aware of?
Thanks!
undefined.social is experiencing some issues due to higher than usual activity. However, the server should be able to handle this. The actual root cause for the hiccups was most likely a configuration error which should be fixed now.
We informed a technician about our problem some time ago and are still waiting for a response. #mastoadmin
Currently we observe errors on one of our media servers. #mastoadmin
