A long time ago I tried out Faceberk and it was generally horrible. Impossible to have an adult and sensible bit of chatter, always people raging/trolling...
Two or so years ago I tried the Fedi... aahhhhhh... nice... people talk... 
I know my little corner isn't everyone's experience but can only comment on my own.
Ok #Fediverse: if I was keen to bootstrap an Aotearoa-based tech services #cooperative, what coop models would people suggest I look at - looking for good descriptions of how they'd be set up, especially to recognise the contributions of those involved. All insights appreciated! I'd rather learn from others' experiences rather than unwittingly replicating their mistakes trying to reinvent the wheel...

Today I was finally able to spend the whole day working on FreeBSD and OpenBSD servers, after a few days full of other activities.
I must confess - it’s been incredibly relaxing and refreshing.
I upgraded an OpenBSD server with a colleague (inside a bhyve VM - we were both connected to the same tmux session).
He was amazed by how simple the process was, and actually said “WOW” when the server sent the entire upgrade output via email.
Tomorrow, he’s planning to install a new OpenBSD server and “play around” with it.
Mission accomplished.

@TonyStark i have left all social media, #Fediverse included, many times over. some more so than others. my faith in the fediverse is waning, too. i'm seeing what chased me away from twitter come to the fore on the open source social media sites, and it is failing to address them. the only thing that keeps me here, honestly, are people like those found on this instance, such as yourself. it's depressing and maddening what is being floated around and this is just what I'VE seen.
