White-necked Jacobin (Florisuga mellivora) Manu, Peru

I can spend a whole day wandering through the jungle with no more than glimpses of hummingbirds, but put up a few feeders and you will end up with hundreds of easy-to-photograph birds that appear to hang around all day. I have read that the sugar water itself does no harm to the birds, but I wonder if it could cause hummingbirds to visit less real flowers and thus not pollenate them adequately.

@garius Manchester based illustrator and printmaker here, my online shop has Christmas cards (cat themed) and screenprints. The print of the bridge is from near the Manchester United football pitch, locals cross it to get to matches. And the bright cartoon coin is a reworking of an old Irish threepenny. I'm happy with how this screenprint turned out! It's been lovely going in to the print room again. I had a lot of anxiety about it, a newish print room, not knowing the people very well or where everything is. But of course it was fine, and everyone's lovely and helpful and friendly.
