As with #IPv4 the problem is that there is no mandate to provide users with static prefixes and I'm stuck on a /28 of IPv4's and can't even get a singoe /64.
Sometimes the situation with open source is paradoxical. I developed mmdb-server and GeoOpen to maintain a fully open toolchain for Geo IP lookup, yet now many people are submitting pull requests to reintroduce proprietary and closed databases.

If you're curious, check out the current pull requests and network forks to support proprietary databases. Why not invest that effort into improving open GeoIP instead?
No guarantee that it will function as expected. Or even appear at all.
Also, if you try to use multiple links, only the first one that works will appear.
One must not trust any ip address.
Dann empfehle ich mal jedem bei Maxmind auf GeoIP / Global Opt-Out zu klicken: https://www.maxmind.com/en/opt-out
@JeGr @jherazob @noodle I'd not really say were forced as it wsn't like they had offices in Germany and were held at gunpoint.
They could've refused to comply until there was an actual and final decision, and eben then they manipulated tzeir output based off tue #GeoIP results, which no #DNS should ever do!
@baldur generally, #GeoIP and other #IP-based #Geolocation and #Geoblocking is just garbage.
I'm stuck on an #IPv4only conmection because my #ISP is unable and/or unwilling to provide proper #DualStack connectivity or even a /64 of #IPv6 (when in fact they could easily do a /48 if not /40 since they gave me a /28 of #IPv4's at no added cost).
@IAmDannyBoling @BobLefridge @QasimRashid
It is not a bug.
It is #GeoIP and creating a walled garden.
@b0rk Q: Will it use #GeoIP [prone to error and mislocation - which is why I can't use #HurricaneElectric's #Tunnelbroker to get #IPv6!] or just look at the #ShippingAddress provided?
You can create a #heatmap of network #attackers using #syslog_ng, #GeoIP and #Kibana. Is it just eye candy? Do you have any practical use for it? I am curious about your opinion / #experience with attack heat maps!
