...was verstehe ich hier falsch, wenn das Methan für den genannten kumulativen Effekt keine Rolle spielen soll???

...doch über die von dir genannte Oxidation letztlich als Treibhausgas gar nicht neutralisiert, sondern gemäß meinem (laienhaften) Artikelverständnis sogar noch verschlimmert.
Stimmt dieses Verständnis, dann kumuliert sich das in die Atmosphäre entwichene #Methan durch die Umwandlung in CO₂ + H₂O sogar noch. (Hypothese)

Schlimmer noch: wie die Reaktionsgleichung zeigt, wird sogar das Nicht-THG Sauerstoff in ein potentes Treibhausgas,...

...Methan in CO2 umwandelt, wird das Treibhausgasproblem durch a) den kumulativen Effekt und b) die Transformation in Wasser und Kohlendioxid als noch potentere Treibhausgase noch größer (s/:super!/s)

ad b) Keine Ahnung, ob es das schon gibt, aber müsste man aufgrund der verschiedenen Treibhausgase und des #RadiativeForcing-Efekts 1) nicht Umdenken und von "Treibhausgasäquivalenten" reden?
Die "Hälfte" von der du da redest, wird...

ad a) ok, blöde Frage von mir, natürlich durch Oxidation...aber dadurch habe ich noch versunkenes Wissen heben können:

"While this decreases the concentration of methane in the atmosphere, it is unclear if this leads to a net positive increase in radiative forcing because both water vapor and carbon dioxide are more powerful GHGs factors in terms of affecting the warming of Earth. " - Danke!
