Think these are the best shots in going to get from the upstairs window. It's practically straight up.
Can't stay up for the end of totality and still get up for work in five hours.

And there it is! A total lunar eclipse from Baltimore, Maryland.
If you were standing on the near side of the Moon right now, you would see the Earth eclipsing the Sun, and see all of the sunsets and sunrises on Earth simultaneously.
My boss tomorrow: Why are you falling asleep at your desk?

I got lucky! Surprisingly, the sky was clear this morning, so I was able to see the beginning of the partial phase of this total lunar eclipse as the moon was setting.

From here in Portland, Oregon, the Moon is starting to get a bit of shadow on its lower left side, but it’s looking like a race between shadow and incoming clouds to see which will eat the Moon first. And the clouds are much less spectacular to watch than the Earth’s shadow. #astronomy #TotalLunarEclipse
