This feels so unreal, I’ve done a lot of stuff before but print still hits different.
Four pages about my rack, modules and the #midiTracker in the German „Synthesizer Magazin“, I had a lovely time with Heiner interviewing me. I’m happy that he was so interested in the DIY sequencer/tracker, and they put some Wir’s directly on the other two pages so readers can check out videos and the repo.

The other day I posted a link to some of my writing aimed at beginning synthesists. Today, how about a link to some stuff for more advanced synthsters? Here's a post I wrote about one of my favorite sound design techniques: pinging filters!

Check out "the worst thing you created so far" (per my wife). I planned to make the desk pretty and all but his setup is not really suited to do anything more musically so I keep it at that and bringe the modules back in the large case.

The pick-ups also need some actual amplification via mutable ears or similar – but I have only one module like that and not a lot of space in the tiny setup.

Lots of things learned but this was horribly loud IRL. And not the good kind of loud.

Newly rearranged modules for a sequencer + synth voice thing. Nothing new here, just cleared out space in this rack case for another row and built it with modules I own.

And in case you're wondering, yes I did this for the track I'm working on. :)

This is why I love modular fundamentals and synthdiy - need an instrument? Build one! You cannot do that with a lot of the boutique stuff these days... your "sound" is someone else's.

Picked up the Maneco Labs Minilooper used, this is a reproduction of the ElectroHarmonix 16s delay from the 80's!

It behaves like a pedal with bypass and continuous recording, had a lot of fun playing with drones last night.

Love it when I find weird shit for sale. The panel design is definitely weird - which I love. And it behaves just like I like.
