I want to start one of those little lending #libraries, but instead of take-one-leave-one it's just "leave one, no taking!" It's like a "banished #book #library"; only for bad #books that no one should #read, but it's on the sidewalk where anyone can pick them up and read them. I'd cover it in propaganda like "some ideas deserve to be contained". Stock it with every Ayn Rand book I can find.

I'd need to make it water--not to mention fire--proof.

In September 2023, disaster struck: Hazel Grove's Community Little Library was stolen when someone dumped all the books on the floor and stole the library.

We are fundraising to buy a new, bigger, better library using an organisation that uses salvaged wood. This will mean we can share more books with our community and possibly start a seed exchange bank as well.

If you are able, we would really appreciate some financial help towards our goal.

Our bank account looks quite healthy, but because of the way council funding works, we can't use the grant we received from them for the library.
