@terra #DOGE was a failure if you accept the public justifications as real, but they were always just a smokescreen. The goal of breaking anything in government that benefited marginalized people, encouraged knowledge or independent thought, or protected the environment was achieved in a stunningly brief time.

It continues to make decisions, cancel programs, and destabilize the very systems it was supposed to improve. This is our window. Congress can shut it down. But they need public pressure to act.
