Hmm, I spot some worrying behavior in #DevCleaner - I think related to Xcode 26 🤔

When I try to remove derived data for apps that were "touched" by Xcode 26, DevCleaner gives me an access denied error, even if Xcode is closed. What's interesting - not for every file inside, just some of them.

Do you guys had similar issues?

New release of #DevCleaner for Xcode: will be available on the AppStore after approval.

This update brings following improvements & fixes:

- Added ability to select multiple items at once
- Fixed issue with documentation cache not found on newer Xcodes
- Added newer device models to device support section

I plan some bigger update sometime in the future 🙂 Some new cleaning options should appear.

If you can't wait for Mac App Store you can download here: github.com/vashpan/xcode-dev-c

What is the most annoying with Xcode SPM support that it seems they copy/clone the ENTIRE repositories of dependent libraries to project derived data 🧐 It takes literally gigabytes of disk space for all the versions of all the libraries we use, why?

This is additional to global SPM cache that caches all of them system-wide anyway 🤷‍♂️

Question for the techies: my MacBook is filled up with a whole lot of nothing AFAICT. Disk Util has 180GB of "boot data." I'm looking for a program that'll help me figure what all that is and delete the stuff I don't need.

I see good reviews for DevCleaner, but I'm on OSX 12 (Monterey). I have found an older version of DevCleaner that runs on OSX 12, but not an older version of XCode.

Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm open to other solutions.

Small update for #DevCleaner submitted to review, now with fixes to run command line tool from CI/SSH or other headless environments (long standing issue) and added support for visionOS device support files.

Non-Mac App Store version can be downloaded and tested now: github.com/vashpan/xcode-dev-c

I would appreciate any feedbacks, especially that I couldn't test it with #visionOS!

For #visionOS developers: As we approach first software update for #visionPro I want to add support for visionOS „Device Support" files in #DevCleaner - anyone could confirm me what is the format of the folder that contains them, if you can just DM me (or send via e-mail, contents of this folder if you ever used Vision Pro for development: ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/visionOS DeviceSupport

For example it looks like that for iOS:

Hmm, I think I might have a clue resolved the issue with IAPs not working in #DevCleaner 🤔

Apparently Paid Apps Agreement was updated and without filling some US tax forms, I can't sell any paid apps (which removed Commander Pixman from sale as well 🤦‍♂️) I got ZERO information about this issue 🤷‍♂️

Let me guys know if it's working now.

This is getting even weirder... It worked for me and few of my testers for a while and now doesn’t. I even risked releasing a candidate update but it seems to be broken.

I think I will have to talk directly to Apple to resolve it, looks like their issue, or maybe just try to create a new IAP products 🤷‍♂️

To summarize this issue: app and StoreKit behave like there's no products available with those IDs (sometimes!), no particular errors usually.

Ok, I need your help guys! From some time tips for DevCleaner are not working 🤔 I couldn't find any obvious reason, hence need for help.

I can finally share a build of #DevCleaner for testing IAPs (Apple hold it because... IAPs didn't work!), if you can, please install it via TestFlight and try to purchase tips, giving me all the potential information about the errors. Log is available under "DevCleaner/Show log files…”

It seems that recently, tip payments for #DevCleaner broke somehow (one of the Sonoma updates I guess? 🤔) Now I know why I haven't got any tips in last 2 weeks 😅

I usually do that for benefit of fellow developers so I haven't rigorously checked the IAP code recently (although nothing changed and it worked for years now…) so I missed that 😅

I'll try to prepare some fix soon! So if you really wanted to tip me (🥰), just please wait.

Sorry for inconvenience!
