On the one hand, Pebble proved to the world that smartwatches are a thing, and now there are several out there, but most are slick, locked-down things.

The new Pebble is a scrappy, tiny company, building a watch that is specifically open-source, extensible and repairable, with the visible-in-sunlight screen and massive battery life I love. It's nicely anti-#enshittified…
