Generic Person<p>I'm looking into getting better upstream support for <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/Haiku" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Haiku</span></a> in <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/wxWidgets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wxWidgets</span></a>. I feel that a very easy issue should be to switch the default port from <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/wxQt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wxQt</span></a> to <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/wxGTK" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>wxGTK</span></a> as the latter has had more stability and more programs work with it.</p><p>This also involves partially upstreaming a patchset here: <a href="https://github.com/haikuports/haikuports/blob/master/x11-libs/wxgtk/patches/wxgtk-3.2.6.patchset" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/haikuports/haikupor</span><span class="invisible">ts/blob/master/x11-libs/wxgtk/patches/wxgtk-3.2.6.patchset</span></a>. The second patch is more of interest than the first one because I think the first isn't needed anymore (at least not since Haiku R1/Beta4, but I could be wrong).</p><p>Then, eventually, I wonder if I can experiment with writing a native Haiku port, wxHaiku. That would take a while to build, though, but I suppose it'll be fun! 😄</p>
