Geoffrey Giebelhaus<p>Another great night at the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/VSO" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>VSO</span></a> </p><p>Tonight I got to listen to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Rachmaninoff" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Rachmaninoff</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/IsleOfTheDead" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>IsleOfTheDead</span></a>. I'd never heard it before but absolutely enjoyed it. Will be listening later. </p><p>Was pleased that in the program they included the painting that inspired the piece as well. The most amazing part was the way the feeling of waves was captured so brilliantly as the piece (the listener) approached the island.</p><p>Image is the famous painting Isle of the Dead.<br><a href="https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_the_Dead_(painting)" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_o</span><span class="invisible">f_the_Dead_(painting)</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/vancouver" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vancouver</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/symphony" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>symphony</span></a></p>
