Der Podcast erklärt vieles von dem, was wir gerade erleben. Ich bin auch erschüttert, wie naiv ich bisher war. Speziell die Folge 6 enthüllt unmissverständlich: Hinter den TechBros steckt ein faschistoides Weltbild, eine Pseudo-Religion. Man will totalitäre Strukturen etablieren und ist bereit, die Menschheit für ein paar TechBros zu opfern. Widerstand ist keine Option, sondern eine Pflicht.

They took big $$ from previous investor Andreessen, who based on his own utterances appears to be a racist fascist. I’m personally not confident, as a previous contributor to the site, that being beholden to right-wing investors is a good thing - on any level. It sure didn’t work out with #SocialMedia did it? Now, more of the same in the online #DigitalPublishing space. Looks like #enshittification to me.
AI tools are already helping marginalized communities daily - translations, image descriptions, text simplification.
You can/should hate Big Tech while recognizing real impacts - anything else isn't meaningful discourse.

Most of them remember that one, @bram, but they fail to consider that “the default” is often itself garbage.
Too many implementors, whether #techbro or not, will unthinkingly decide “I don't want to make a political decision so I'll go with the default from my culture”. My nerd friends, *that is a political decision*.
You know what, seriously, I'm done with the tech community rn.
Tech community be like:
"Oh you want to drive a pretty car? Well first you need to go to engineering school to learn how to design engines, we provide the vehicular frame but you have to build your own engine. Oh but painting your car is easy, you just have to know how to create paint from scratch. No we don't just use standard vehicle paint, we created a special type and only it stick to our car. Oh and don't forget that you have to design seats too, that's an entirely different tutorial, written by Sumerian monks! It's 80 percent out of date but you'll be fine.
