OMG! Ubuntu!<p>SystemStatsPlus GNOME Extension</p><p>We’re not short of system monitoring tools for Ubuntu, with an array of desktop apps, extensions, widgets, Conky scripts, and command-line tools readily available to us. But if you’re keen to keep an eye firmly fixed on system resource usage the newly launched SystemStatsPlus GNOME extension will appeal (though only if you use Ubuntu 23.10, as this only supports GNOME 45 atm). SystemStatsPlus provides “real-time visualization of key system resources”, and described itself as “an essential tool for anyone looking to keep a close eye on their system’s performance”. Once installed, this extension embeds live, updating resource graphs in the :sys_more_orange:<br><a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/News" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>News</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/GnomeExtensions" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>GnomeExtensions</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Systemapps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Systemapps</span></a> </p><p>:sys_omgubuntu: <a href="https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2023/11/systemstatsplus-system-monitor-gnome-extension" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">omgubuntu.co.uk/2023/11/system</span><span class="invisible">statsplus-system-monitor-gnome-extension</span></a></p>
OMG! Ubuntu!<p>Resources is a New, Modern System Monitor for Linux</p><p>The System Monitor app Ubuntu comes with with does an okay job of letting you monitor system resources and oversee running processes — but it does look dated. Now, dated isn’t always a negative – but with System Monitor it is: the app’s graphs and charts are tiny, compact, and lack the glanceability and granular-detail that similar tools on other systems offer. Thankfully, there are plenty of ace System Monitor alternatives available on Linux, with the Rust-based Resources being the latest to the join the club. And it’s a real looker: Resources shows real-time graphs showing the utilisation of core :sys_more_orange:<br><a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/News" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>News</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Libadwaita" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Libadwaita</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Resources" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Resources</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Systemapps" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Systemapps</span></a> <a href="https://hello.2heng.xin/tags/Utilities" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Utilities</span></a> </p><p>:sys_omgubuntu: <a href="https://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2023/10/resources-system-monitor-app-for-linux" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">omgubuntu.co.uk/2023/10/resour</span><span class="invisible">ces-system-monitor-app-for-linux</span></a></p>
