Brad Linder
This open source Raspberry Pi HAT adds a microSD Express card reader for PCIe SSD-like speed (read speed anyway, write is less impressive). MicroSD Express cards are expensive & rare though, so this board won't be mass produced, but you can make your own from the designs. https://www.cnx-software.com/2025/07/28/raspberry-pi-5-gets-a-microsd-express-hat/ #RaspberryPi #MicroSDExpress

Ben Bradley
I bought a #RaspberryPi 4 a while back for emulation but I didn't like it for that (slow to boot, audio and controller issues) so it has been sat without a purpose.

I spent some time this week turning it into a 200Gb mini server. It has:
🔹 Pi-hole (DNS level ad blocker)
🔹 Gitea (private git server for code backups)
🔹 Shared folders for network backups and transfers
🔹 No desktop UI (I setup everything remotely via the bash terminal)

I only started with #LinuxMint as my OS a couple of months ago, so I learnt a lot doing this fun project, and made some mistakes along the way that would have been much worse if I'd made them on my PC.

Will merge them into one build at some point. But for now, this is a great start <3.

Cees-Jan Kiewiet :rp: :wm:
Something completely different, tho. The node on my desk is named television for a reason; the idea is to attach a screen to it to display relevant information for that moment.
