KlimalisteBW<p>Hitze-Check 2025 zeigt: Über 12 Millionen Menschen in deutschen Städten sind von extremer Hitze betroffen</p><p>„36 Grad und es wird noch heißer“: daran müssen wir uns wohl entweder gewöhnen – oder Klimaanpassung schaffen. Aufgrund der Erderwärmung ist Europa der sich am schnellsten erhitzende Kontinent unseres Planeten und die Städte sind am meisten davon betroffen. Der zweite Hitze-Check der Deutschen @umwelthilfe (DUH) zeigt auf, wie stark Menschen in ihrem Wohnort im Sommer extremer Hitze ausgesetzt sind.</p><p>In dem Bericht wurden 50.000 Einwohner.innen in Städten in einem sogenannten Hitzebetroffenheitsindex (HBI) erfasst. 31 von 190 Städten erhielten eine rote Karte, im Südwesten Deutschlands sind Mannheim, Ludwigshafen und Worms aufgrund hoher Temperaturen, enorme Versiegelung und zu wenig Grün am stärksten von Hitze betroffen. In den untersuchten Städten sind 32 von 34 Millionen Menschen von mittlerer bis extremer Hitzebelastung beeinträchtigt, nur 28 Städte bekamen eine grüne Karte. Die Gesundheitsfolgen sind gravierend: Jährlich sterben in Deutschland etwa 3000 Menschen an den Folgen extremer Hitze.</p><p>Die Klimaliste BW setzt sich in Kommunal- und Landespolitik für mehr Grünflächen und Flächenentsiegelung ein. In Zeiten eines sich erhitzenden Planeten müssen wir neben aktivem Klimaschutz, zur Begrenzung der Erderwärmung Resilienz aufbauen.
