Fabian<p>SOLVED Dear <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/archlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>archlinux</span></a> people and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/cachyos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cachyos</span></a> afficionados, does any of you have a hint how I can mount my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Canon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Canon</span></a> EOS 40D DSLR <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/camera" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>camera</span></a> as mass storage? It is detected as a camera, but I cannot mount it as storage to transfer files. Current workaround is booting <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a> which, of course, is annoying :D Thanks for your help!</p><p>SOLUTION: I used journalctl to understand that the device did not support MTP. However, digiKam was able to connect and import files from the device directly via USB.</p>
