I made my first handful of 3D models in Blender recently, and have been steadily devloping both the look and feel and the functionality of the game. I am learning SO much. Trevor<p>Not in the devlog: Last time I seriously attempted to learn Blender was in like 2001, when I first took a "serious" crack at learning gamedev, with this book. It... didn't get me very far. Trevor<p>Trouble is, when you're working with flat sprites and boxes, things have a tendency to look... flat and boxy. Which can be an *~*aesthetic*~*, but at the end of the day, it's limiting. Especially for the buildings, but also for effects, like this objective marker. Trevor<p>New devlog for my little retro cyberpunk vehicle combat game, bHopper: Hunted! This was a big update for me - not because there's a splash screen, not because it's finally got some of <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://musicians.today/@Weru" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>Weru</span></a></span> 's excellent music (thank you!), not because I've added *yet another* control scheme to it, but because I have some shitty stock art NPC cars bobbling around independently.
