Generic Person<p>I have an old Android device, the LG Tribute Dynasty, that I want to see if I can somehow get a custom ROM working with it or something. It is a MediaTek device, but both the AOSP and kernel sources are available at the Internet Archive (I remember uploading them).</p><p>What's neat is that the device can be rooted because it's vulnerable to the MTK-su exploit (the device never received updates beyond November 1, 2019). This means we can do some stuff with it, but I don't know how useful it'll be.</p><p><a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/android" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>android</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/lg" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lg</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/androidhacking" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>androidhacking</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/customroms" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>customroms</span></a></p>
