firefly<p>Currently reading a book about the recommissioning of <a href="https://mastodon.floe.earth/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a>, ending the hiatus with the new series in 2005.</p><p>The author though claims again and again that there wasn't any proper science fiction produced in Britain during the 90s that was successful. </p><p>This is just plain wrong:</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.floe.earth/tags/RedDwarf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RedDwarf</span></a> was a sitcom and it was genuine science fiction. Also a BBC series.</p><p>Seriously. Smeghead. Credit, where credit is due.</p>
