Herz++<p>On another note, I'm honestly astonished with how well my server setup with <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Podman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Podman</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Quadlets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Quadlets</span></a> has been going and how sturdy <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Navidrome" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Navidrome</span></a> is.</p><p>I can literally just edit my <code>~/.config/containers/systemd/navidrome.container</code>, add an environment variable that disables settings, change the tag to a completely different container version, and simply</p><p>systemctl restart --user navidrome</p><p>and keep listening to my music in the meanwhile, with the web UI now updated seamlessly without the disabled settings.</p><p>Virtually no downtime.</p>
Herz++<p>I just tried <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Firefish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Firefish</span></a> in production using the <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Podman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Podman</span></a> <a href="https://furry.engineer/tags/Quadlets" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Quadlets</span></a> I wrote myself. :blobfoxowomlem:​</p><p>It's very unlikely that I'll keep using it, but I have confirmed it works, it is easier to install than Mastodon and Akkoma, it federates, it doesn't use that much memory even with animations enabled, it's easy to administer, and it doesn't have immediate bugs.</p>
