Jeremy Garniaux<a href="https://mapstodon.space/@samuelmesa" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@samuelmesa</a> It's worth mentioning that <a href="https://mapstodon.space/tags/pdal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#pdal</a> not being available in Ubuntu repositories anymore, it's not possible at the moment to open LAS/LAZ files directly with :qgis: <a href="https://mapstodon.space/tags/QGIS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#QGIS</a>. I had to install pdal via conda first to convert my LAZ files to COPC first, then open the COPC in QGIS.I hope the situation will be fixed soon cause it's not really great, but the workaround is relatively straightforward if you'rw familiar with the command line and editing a json file.
