Jon Roach<p>It says "defied all odds" but I reckon this is highly subjective because nobody calculated the odds. <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/cow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cow</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/flooding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>flooding</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/nsw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nsw</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/nswfloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nswfloods</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/nswflooding" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nswflooding</span></a></p>

ned haughton<p>Manning valley flood:<br>- Old Killawarra bridge on Gloucester road, <br>- new bridge next to it, during construction, and <br>- the high water yesterday... </p><p>Someone on FB says it's 24m.⁩</p><p>Luckily it's only that high there because it's hilly farm land, and that's a pinch point, the houses are all on the hills around. But still kinda crazy. I remember being blown away at how high that bridge was when I drove over it last.</p><p>There's gonna be a looong recovery in the Manning this winter.</p><p><a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/ManningFloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ManningFloods</span></a> <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/ManningValley" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ManningValley</span></a> <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/NSW" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSW</span></a> <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/NSWFloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSWFloods</span></a> <a href="https://fediscience.org/tags/Australia" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Australia</span></a></p>
AJ Sadauskas<p>For anyone monitoring the NSW floods.<br><br>WaterNSW publishes real-time data about groundwater, river, and dam levels across the state: <a href="https://realtimedata.waternsw.com.au/water.stm" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://realtimedata.waternsw.com.au/water.stm</a> <a href="https://gts.sadauskas.id.au/tags/floods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>floods</span></a> <a href="https://gts.sadauskas.id.au/tags/nsw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSW</span></a> <a href="https://gts.sadauskas.id.au/tags/auspol" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>auspol</span></a> <a href="https://gts.sadauskas.id.au/tags/climatechange" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ClimateChange</span></a> <a href="https://gts.sadauskas.id.au/tags/nswfloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSWfloods</span></a><br><br>In the left-hand column, scroll to Rivers and Streams, Dams, or Groundwater. The last option is real-time data. Then zoom in the map on the right to the waterway you're interested in, and click the nearest dot.<br><br>It will give you info, and at some locations photos, of water levels at that location.</p>
Wallamba<p>All of my family live on the mid north coast of NSW. They're all safe. <br>Seeing videos of the places I grew up in totally underwater is sad. <br><a href="https://aus.social/tags/NSWfloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSWfloods</span></a></p>
AMonkeyInSilk 🇺🇦🇵🇸<p>Port Macquarie. </p><p>We are sheltering in place. Largely because all roads out are closed. </p><p>Safe, warm with food. </p><p>So, we are lucky. </p><p>But the contrast from when we arrived to now is significant and worrying. Pictures taken a week apart. Same beach different perspective. </p><p><a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Floods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Floods</span></a> <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/climatechange" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>climatechange</span></a> <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/climatecrisis" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>climatecrisis</span></a> <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/NSWFloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSWFloods</span></a> </p><p>From: <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://theblower.au/@amonkeyinsilk" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>amonkeyinsilk</span></a></span><br><a href="https://theblower.au/@amonkeyinsilk/114548442487102440" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">theblower.au/@amonkeyinsilk/11</span><span class="invisible">4548442487102440</span></a></p>

Jude🇵🇸<p>Daughter in Port Macquarie reports in with some scary video of her area, sent from friends. The place is slowly going under: housing all along the Hastings river is inundated, the canal network too (private jetties under water, boats floating out to sea, houses at water level), bridges upstream under water. She's fine, lives half way up a hill near the CBD. But it's going to get worse before it gets better. <a href="https://toot.community/tags/NSWfloods" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NSWfloods</span></a></p>
