Nat Pryce<p>Rich Error Types will add much-needed type safety to how we signal and handle errors in Kotlin. Preview in a year or so. Al Sutton<p>I get mixed feelings when I can create a small reproduction project for an issue caused by a single version bump in a third party dependency. It's nice to know it's not my code, but a fix-release is also out of my control</p><p>Today's problem; The compiler in <a href="https://snapp.social/tags/Kotlin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Kotlin</span></a> 2.1.20. I've even managed to boil it down to a 1 line change where "2.1.10" works, and "2.1.20" or "2.1.21" triggers the issue.</p><p>Anyone at <a href="https://snapp.social/tags/KotlinConf" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>KotlinConf</span></a> want to take a look?</p><p><a href="https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-77739/Changes-in-compiler-in-2.1.20-causing-compilation-to-fail" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/K</span><span class="invisible">T-77739/Changes-in-compiler-in-2.1.20-causing-compilation-to-fail</span></a></p>
