Gerrit DH8GHH<p>Was aussieht wie ein Sturmschaden am <a href="https://social.darc.de/tags/HamNet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HamNet</span></a> Standort <a href="https://social.darc.de/tags/DB0FC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DB0FC</span></a> ist keiner.<br>Demnächst wird das Dach saniert und wir wurden gebeten, alle Masten abzubauen, damit der Kran dort frei drehen kann.</p><p>Die Linkstrecken laufen im Notbetrieb und auch der Usereinstieg ist noch aktiv.<br>Währen der Arbeiten am Dach müssen wir wahrscheinlich vorübergehend komplett abbauen.</p>

We today do that in FM relays, in <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/hamnet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hamnet</span></a> microwave links, and most gloriously in hamradio satellites.</p><p>~100 years ago, discovery of ionospheric SW reflection was the big boost to our hobby.</p><p>Since, we've learned to let our waves bounce back from a falling star's trail, aurora borealis, air planes, rain clouds, the moon, even Venus.</p><p>It's fun to contemplate!</p>

The links are all via dishes on 2,4 or 5GHz. FM voice quality end-to-end is superb, relayed via a wireless TCP/IP network. Can't compare this to echolink. Gerrit DH8GHH<p>Die <a href="https://social.darc.de/tags/HamNet" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HamNet</span></a>-Antenne funktioniert wieder🥰</p><p>Nachdem ich einige HEX-Dumps verschiedener Module verglichen habe war dann klar, welche Partitionen immer gleich sind und was ich aus dem alten FlashROM übernehmen muss, damit MAC-Adresse und Kalibrierdaten stimmen und sie ohne Checksum-Error A12 bootet.</p><p>Ich sichere mir lieber mal die /dev/mtd5 Partition aller meiner Ubiquiti-Antennen, dann muss ich bei der nächsten Reparatur nur 4 Dateien kopieren und 2 Kommandozeilen-Befehle abschicken 😁</p>
