This has already happened to a lesser degree. For this thought experiment... let's assume there won't be much Federal relief (as the Texas GOP would like it!).The first two weeks people would mostly do okay, surviving on stored food and charity.The next two weeks a portion of the population would become increasingly desperate. Major clashes over resources would occur. If there was someplace to go (surrounding states or Mexico) mass migration would begin.By the fifth week desperation would dominate.
