Stephen Reaves :gentoo:<p>Just had my docs PR merged into the Flatcar website! Excited to contribute to this project. Johannes Kastl<p>Hmmm, does <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/flatcarlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>flatcarlinux</span></a> really not support <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/podman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>podman</span></a>? Or is it just accidentally missing from the container runtime docs?</p><p><a href="https://www.flatcar.org/docs/latest/container-runtimes/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">flatcar.org/docs/latest/contai</span><span class="invisible">ner-runtimes/</span></a></p><p>It is also not present in the sysext-bakery.</p>
Johannes Kastl<p>Has anyone used <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/flatcarlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>flatcarlinux</span></a> on <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/hetzner" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hetzner</span></a>? Johannes Kastl<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://chaos.social/@icet" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>icet</span></a></span> Eventuell auch <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/FlatcarLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FlatcarLinux</span></a> oder <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a> <a href="https://digitalcourage.social/tags/CoreOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>CoreOS</span></a>.</p>
Frederic<p>Finally found the time to play around with <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/FlatcarLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FlatcarLinux</span></a>. Setup a bare metal node just with Docker, after that a single <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/k3s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>k3s</span></a> node (including auto updates). Nice!</p><p>But the base system just with Docker running seems to gobble up quite a lot of RAM (~700 MB) in comparison to my tiny ArchLinux based host. Needs some investigation, could be a show-stopper for my small <a href="https://chaos.social/tags/Homelab" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Homelab</span></a> hosts. 🤔</p>
