UmWerker 🕊 ☮️ 🤘<p>In the wake of <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/unplugTrump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>unplugTrump</span></a>, I asked <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Distrowatch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Distrowatch</span></a> which <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> distributions originated in <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Europe" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Europe</span></a>. I confess that I left out the eastern countries. There were only six results, five of which were based on <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a>. Whether <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Arch</span></a> <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> or <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a>, how strong or extensive is the American influence anyway? Isn't it more about individual software or services themselves, such as <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Firefox</span></a> or <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Google" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Google</span></a>? <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a> and its <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a> should of course be banned in principle. But as an <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/ArchLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ArchLinux</span></a> user, should I change my system because of this?</p>
UmWerker 🕊 ☮️ 🤘<p>Im Zuge von <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/unplugTrump" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>unplugTrump</span></a> habe ich mal <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Distrowatch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Distrowatch</span></a> befragt, welche <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a>-Distributionen ihren Ursprung in <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Europa" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Europa</span></a> haben. Egal, ob nun <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Arch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Arch</span></a> <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a> oder <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora</span></a>, wie stark oder umfassend ist der amerikanische Einfluss überhaupt? Geht es nicht vielmehr um einzelne Software oder Dienste selbst, wie z.B. <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Firefox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Firefox</span></a> oder <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Google" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Google</span></a>? <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a> und sein <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a> ist natürlich grundsätzlich zu verbannen. Doch sollte ich als <a href="https://todon.nl/tags/ArchLinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ArchLinux</span></a>-Nutzer mein System deswegen wechseln?</p>

Da lazy beardude<p>Hey <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> community, I wanna play around with more distros and stuff. Particularly ones that isn't <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/systemd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>systemd</span></a> but might use <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/busybox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>busybox</span></a>. Right now I have <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/voidlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>voidlinux</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/devuan" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>devuan</span></a> in my head.</p><p>I mean I could just go to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/distrowatch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>distrowatch</span></a> &amp; use filters but I like hearing people's personal experience about these distros and I'll admit I'm really lazy browsing forums and discussions right now. 😅 </p><p>I've already tried <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/gentoo" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gentoo</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/alpine" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>alpine</span></a>, and <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/slackware" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>slackware</span></a>. Also no <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/linuxfromscratch" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linuxfromscratch</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/lfs" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lfs</span></a>. That's for waay later taters.</p>
