Mark Hughes<p>Switching from Windows to Linux is going to be painful but sticking with Windows is torture.</p><p>I ran up my old <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Windows10" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Windows10</span></a> laptop yesterday to test my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/AutonomiDweb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AutonomiDweb</span></a> App and it began showing intrusive popups including ads.</p><p>No way to turn that off.</p><p>The sooner you switch to Linux the longer you will reap the benefits, avoid upgrade costs, get free apps like <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/LibreOffice" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>LibreOffice</span></a>, the sooner you will have an operating system that doesn't treat you like a milchcow. </p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a> Windows -&gt; <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Ubuntu</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a></p>

We need new models that support, protect and foster the best in us.
