I noticed something strange in the Pixelfed app:

All images uploaded through the app are displayed in the app as if the were cropped to a 1:1 aspect ratio (see image 1).

Images of users who probably didn't use the app but the website for the upload are not cropped (see image 2).

In the browser my images are also shown in the original aspect ratio (see image 3).

Is that intended? Did I miss some setting in the app? Is it a bug? Should I file a bug report?

Hm the standard upload through the website keeps the original aspect ratio intact (image 1) but is displayed as cropped to a 1:1 aspect ratio in the app (image 2).

So it's probably not just a difference between web and app upload, but a specific problem of my user?

Is this a user setting that I didn't see?

Yes, I'm on Android. I'm a bit confused though that it only happens to my own images. I guess it's an Android problem then.

I'll wait for the next update. Thank you!
