#Youtube verschärft erneut sein Vorgehen gegen #Werbeblocker.

Nutzer berichten, dass selbst populäre Tools wie #uBlockOrigin oder integrierte Blocker in Browsern wie #Brave oder #Vivaldi nicht mehr funktionieren.

Videos lassen sich oft nur noch mit deaktiviertem #Adblocker abspielen. Youtube verweist auf das kostenpflichtige #PremiumAbo als Alternative, um Inhalte werbefrei zu sehen.

Bei meinen Eltern ist auch der CPU eine Generation zu alt für Windows 11. Neuer CPU kaufen macht da auch gleich null sinn. Zudem macht das Outlook auch nur noch Ärger...

Da ich zumindest auch auf meinen alten PC auch wechseln will. Gaming ist eh auf die Xbox ausgelagert (wird das einzige von MS übrig bleiben)

Bisher habe ich mich in Zorin OS und Elementary OS eingegrenzt.
Falls hier wer noch eine bessere Idee hat, gerne schreiben, soll auch schön aussehen und nicht für jeden Furtz eine Konsole brauch.

Office wird Only Office werden, was bereits schon teste.

Bitwarden wird der Passwortmanager.

Email wird wahrscheinlich Thunderbird. Wer hier was besseres kennt, einfach antworten.

Browser wird Vivaldi.

Dann wird der Teil für mich noch die Frage, was als Ersatz von Sticky Notes und One Note nehmen soll. Es soll auf allen Betriebssystemen funktionieren.

@DaveMasonDotMe this is my private email, so there aren't all that many large attachments - pictures are usually shares via messengers these days (and automatically synced to my NAS), and I really don't mind how much space my work email takes on my company's servers 🙂

Back in the days when we still had a quota that could run full, I'd sort mails by size and delete the top few that had ridiculously large attachments - which is freeing up space for thousands of normal sized emails.

But yes, it would be good to have the ability to store attachments separately, and for the email client to have something like a file manager for attachments (and leaving a link in the email to where the attachment was stored to). There is a feature request for my preferred #email client #vivaldi for something like this that has surprisingly few votes.

Ultimately, it really doesn't matter whether the attachment is stored together with my email or on some file folder, it will take up the space it needs one way or the other.

I tried the Vivaldi browser and started getting my tabs and workspaces organized when I realized that cookies are shared across workspaces! I never would have spent the time if I had known that. I guess I'll be on Firefox.
