Happy Unveiling Day! On June 25, 2015, the Baphomet statue was unveiled, symbolizing the importance of religious equality and freedom of expression. This monumental bronze statue reminds us that everyone deserves a voice, regardless of their beliefs. Let’s celebrate diversity and promote acceptance in our communities!

We should claim that any movement preaching intolerance places itself outside the law, and we should consider incitement to intolerance and persecution as criminal, in the same way as we should consider incitement to murder, or to kidnapping, or to the revival of the slave trade, as criminal.

We should…claim, in the name of tolerance, the right not to tolerate the intolerant.

Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.

“At least memorise that #tolerance becomes crime when applied to evil.”
– 6th chapter of #ThomasMann’s “Magic Mountain”
Many years ago, after studying many religions, Carl Jung, and philosophy, I came up with the definition of "good" and "evil".
"Good" is what connects us to God / #Nature / Each Other.
"Evil" is that which separates us from God / Nature / Each Other.
It's that simple folks! Seriously!!!

Where has the #tolerance gone?
I've noticed lately that many people here are quick to criticize others. Thankfully, it's mostly done calmly and objectively, but sometimes, unfortunately, it's loud and arrogant. In rare cases, it even descends into insults, slander, and deliberate falsehoods.
Some engage in these discussions because they believe they are fighting for the right cause. Others, unfortunately, do so to deliberately polarize and draw attention to themselves. I certainly won't reach the second group with this, but perhaps at least the first:
The #Fediverse is the most diverse place on the internet I know, and that's a good thing. But that can only work with a lot of tolerance. And tolerance primarily means: live and let live. Not seeing yourself and your #opinion as the only #truth and allowing alternative viewpoints.
In most cases, it's enough to simply not follow (or unfollow) people who bother you in your timeline. If that's not enough, muting or blocking are functions specifically designed for this and work well.
And if you feel you can't "stay silent," a private message is usually better than a public one.
Don't get me wrong: I don't want a platform where you can't say anything. But you don't have to constantly "take over" other people's posts with your own views. Write your own posts for that.

There is no #freedom in #hateSpeech
#Speech meant to destroy the freedom of others is not #freeSpeech
All the suffering we've been through, and all the suffering that lies before us, is nothing but a litany we must learn from. It will not end until we finally understand that the #FirstAmendment does not protect hate speech, as a simple logical consequence of what freedom truly means
#Tolerance of #intolerance only leads to the death of tolerance

For me personally the word "Tolerance" means something akin to patience. Therefor I don't understand how we arrived at using this word to talk about Freedom. I have already written an article suggesting that it is perhaps a wrong word to use, and something like "Hate" or "Lack of Hate" would be a much better word to describe contemporary ...

"Tolerance by itself can be a cover for moral laziness. In a world with real and pressing problems, tolerance is merely a precondition for politics -- it is not itself a meaningful politics." - Bill McKibben
