I could get that storage space down also if I had any need to, but I haven't bothered.</p><p>The <a href="https://floss.social/tags/systemd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>systemd</span></a> opponents can note that systemd is using approximately half the total memory in use on the system.</p><p>The <a href="https://floss.social/tags/systemd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>systemd</span></a> fans can note that systemd is using only 35MB.</p><p>So there you have it, everybody wins 🙂 </p><p>Either way, most of the RAM is used for cache!</p>

@alina Can you use a .mount unit instead of a .service unit? It looks like you're trying to mount something using rclone, so that would be the first thing I'd try to change.
2nd I'd try to nail down what "is a broken piece of shit" as with systemd trying to work around it usually leads to more pain than using what it provides (even if it is annoying or "shit").
3rd if the env vars are the problem, try to use a EnvironmentFile instead, may be easier to debug too
