I got the powerful urge to revisit this classic spoken piece-song, "Alice's Restaurant." Holds up! For many, it is also a part of Thanksgiving, part of an audio list for prepping time. Marijuana *might* be involved.

I will post a link to the almost 40 min running #interview I've enhanced into #multimedial dimensions (no kidding – was more work than anticipated, but also fun) alongside the show within this threat here, when the time is right. It also has English subtitles (only here with editorial remarks).

Completely unexpected
Such silence but that hum of a life lived loud and suddenly quiet
Like the absence of sound is not acceptable so my brain sends a hum to compensate.
There are moments that find me and I don’t want them.
I listen to the hum because it’s there and it echoes and pumps and vibrates
Every frequency is a different ghost.
Every echo has a different host.
Every pump is a reminder of who hurt me the most.
Every vibration a mind to which I was never exposed and they reach onwards and ever onwards and always out of reach and always not for me and they will never be what I wish they could be just a friend to me.
There are moments that find me overwhelmed and exhausted.
They creep up on me.
