Richard Jones<p><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/Birmingham" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Birmingham</span></a> challenged my predisposition to the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/rural" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>rural</span></a>, and my dislike of the <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/urban" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>urban</span></a>, yesterday. I discovered a city and its people that I had not previously appreciated. Immense diversity, a warmth of reception, openness, curiosity, full of human authenticity and architectural beauty. To all those I met and talked to, and to all those who I did not, yet who vivified my experience, here’s my thank you card to you all, inspired by three scenes I encountered. What a <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/city" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>city</span></a>. I’m coming back!</p>
