The Seagull #Nebula
The Seagull Nebula, resembling a bird in the sky, spans 3.5 degrees near Sirius in Canis Major. Its head, IC 2177, contains star HD 53367 within a mix of glowing gas and dust. The region extends over 200 light-years, 3,800 light-years away, shaped by supernovae and marked by runaway star FN Canis Majoris' bow shock.
