Już byłam w środku PC, znaleziska to: Płyta główna (Stara, ale nowsza niż myślałam), płyta kontrolna, Dwa karty ram (2GB i 1 GB), pajęczyna, kurz, martwy pająk, dysk C i DVD
Teraz wiem jak otworzyć PC i jak wygląda od środka, co pomoże w wymianie (PC jest z 2008, za dzieciaka w nim grałam, nie ma karty Wi-Fi, więc będę musiała ją dodać)
Mam dość laptopów i intela (Dlatego w tym PC wolę go wymienić) na milion lat

I'm trying to revive an old Asus Z9200U i found.
CPU: Sempron 3100+
GPU(?): SIS M661
RAM: 512MB
Display: 15.4" WXGA
Wifi: 802.11b/g
I currently have it running Void Linux, but the graphics don't play well. And i can't set the resolution the way i want it.
Anyone have suggestions as to what i can do to squeeze every last drop out of this machine?
Or at least to get the graphics to work better in Void.

Joining the #oldcomputer challenge with a not so old laptop (Asus Eeepc 1101HA), powered with an Atome proc. running at 800MHz but without support for the hardware graphic chipset (gma500).

We stumbled upon a fascinating program for the TRS-80! 
Its purpose was to assist teachers in crafting engaging lectures and delivering them via computer! 
Not only could it manage student "scores," but it also kept track of timings, ensuring a seamless learning experience. 
Guess who's joining our collection? It's the TRS-80 Model III, complete with documentation and a treasure trove of fascinating software!

Mastodon folks, I found I have an #oldcomputer #hp Surestore 6000e tape backup system (SCSI) with manuals and cables in the original box. If you are IT historian or like to use/collect old computer parts,or know someone who does, please DM me. If you know a good hashtag to add let me know. I'd rather this go to someone who supports the #fediverse before I figure out how to put it on eBay or FB. Thanks for any boosts to get this into safe hands.
When our kids were small they were amused by a BASIC program that I wrote on my first laptop, an NEC PC8201A, which beeped when keys were pressed. I'm hoping that our grandchild will also be amused by this contraption beeping at him when he presses keys.
These are fabulously reliable computers and this one still works exactly as it did when it was new 40 years ago. However it might not still work had I not spotted a leaking nicad backup battery about 15 years ago and replaced it.
The clock is not Y2K compatible so I've set the date to 1923. It's possible to modify the ROM to replace "19" with "20", but I don't think I'll ever bother with that.
