This concert took place on the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca, a beautiful central place in the center of the city from 1724. And I was in the audience on this warm summer night as a young student.

The available info on this band is very little and sometimes contradictory. They seem to be of Belgian origin, but not sure. This tune was released in 1987, i had this on vinyl. "You can call me poison".
Grace Jones - Walking in the Rain (Live)
Another fine cover version. The original was written by the Australian band "Flash and the Pan". Grace Jones published this track on her album "Nightclubbing" in 1981. I have no idea where this live performance took place.
Laurie Anderson - Sharkey's Day
From her excellent second studio album "Mr. Heartbreak", released in 1984. She had lots of collaborators on this record, among them William S. Borroughs (whose speaking voice can be heard in the last song), Peter Gabriel, Nile Rogers and Bill Laswell. At that time this record (vinyl) was a masterpiece of sound production.
Tom Waits - Clap Hands
Released on his album "Rain Dogs" in 1985.
The video is not official, but produced by a fan and I like it.
I always regarded his albums "Swordfishtrombones", "Rain Dogs" and "Frank's Wild Years" as some kind of meta music, music that is telling us something about music.
David Sylvian - Orpheus
This tune was released in 1987 on the wonderful solo album "Secrets of the Beehive" by David Sylvian, former singer of Japan. Ryuchi Sakamoto plays the synth and piano in this tune.

I bought this tune on a maxi single but I sold nearly all my vinyl records with a few exceptions. Pere Ubu is weird, but brilliant. They formed in Akron, Ohio, the same city Devo came from. in the U.S. Wikipedia is vague about the year of publication.
Tom Waits - It's more than rain
This song was released on the album 'Franks Wild Years' in 1987.
I really like his music, especially from this period. The band sounds like a vaudeville act that had a beer too much, but that fits perfectly.
