#Wisconsin #RusticRoads #Motorcycle

After watching a few FortNine videos on protectors I decided to invest in an airbag for driving with my #motorcycle
I went with a mechanical system by the Italian company Motoairbag.
First impression is that is quite heavy and there is no space for my drinking bladder.
Something I only realised after I bought it.
It's not a major problem but I really like to drink while driving (pun intended ).
Motorcycle people: recommendations for re-usable earplugs that have a high NRR/SNR rating and preferably that publish their testing numbers? I see a lot of them that just say "reduces by XdB!" but doesn't mention where that number came from, what the sound curve is like (does it do that at the low end where the road noise is, or at the high end where I don't care unless I'm on a sport bike), etc.
So, yeah. This also happened to the #motorcycle on Friday.
The fun part? I don't know how it happened. I didn't drop the bike, didn't drag the pegs... I parked up and thought: wow?!?
I was wearing my RevIt riding sneakers which have a very thick inflexible sole. I didn't even feel I was missing part of the peg.
So I got a new peg from the dealer on Saturday only to find out I needed to order a set of circlip pliers to switch it out.
90 euro for the pegs and pliers. Expensive hobby!
Just occurred to me I hadn't posted a photo of my new #motorcycle. This isn't a great photo but it is at least out of the garage. Still more mods to do over the next month as well.
This fall I need to get back up to Sunrise for a better outdoor photo.
Today it's 14 years since I bought this #motorcycle
Situation stable
I finally got my partner to jump on the back of my motorcycle and come for a ride.
She's never been on a bike before, and never learned how to ride a bicycle either, so this is very new to her and a bit daunting.
She had a really tight grip on me at first, but gradually started to relax as we rode around the neighbourhood a bit. Maximum speed was about 80 km/hr (50 mph).
Overall, she enjoyed it and wants to come out for some short rides.
I haven't counted up the distance, but let's say... 8000km.
Yes I'm leaving in 2 days.
From the east coast to the west coast in Mexico on my motorcycle.
Second stop was the castle Loevestein. The ride up there was lovely, loads of wildlife, mostly large flocks of geese, but also all kinds of other wetlands birds.
We started at a castle (Kasteel Hernen) that was closed for a wedding and all the staff was dressed in medieval clothes. Very cool.
The little #motorcycle tour was planned around castles and we passed 7 or 8, but only stopped at 2.
Panniers are packed and ready to go for the next journey.
Organized a little #motorcycle tour with two colleagues this afternoon. Temperature should go up to 30C. Packing some extra water. The route is mostly along the dikes, so a bit of a breeze over the rivers atop the dikes should make it okay.
Actually got out on the highway today.
Beautiful weather, but a bit windy out at the beach at Bandon
My beard is so long it was blowing up and hitting me in the eyes, I had to take my ponytail tie and use it on my face!

Installed a cheap helmet speaker and mic into my modular helmet so I can hear map directions during navigations. Getting ready to do food deliveries #motorcycle #sideHustle
