I've got a pair of ThinkNode M2s, and the antennas that come with them are literally bits of printed circuit board, and yet they've managed to get a surprising bit of range (maybe 300m) out of them with suboptimal placement and no special care. GPS is not required for operation but helpful for others to have a better idea on their own coverage when they "see" your node.

Steve DuncanLike those litle solar nodes people mount on their houses. Do the same thing, only mount it inside the car with a small external antenna. I suppose GPS would have to be included to update the location. Michal ŠpondrKdyž ti někdo řekne "používej Snap, je to všechno jednoduché", okamžitě řeknu "Počkej kámo", trubku a hned ho jebni po hlavě, hned ho zabij!Aneb válčím s flashováním <a href="https://spondr.cz/tags/Meshtastic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Meshtastic</a> zařízení přes <a href="https://flasher.meshtastic.org" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank">https://flasher.meshtastic.org</a> a všechny prohlížeče v Ubuntu jsou dnes přes Snap, které se k /dev/ttyUSB* nedostanou (nebo možná nějakým superhackem jo, ale přesně pro ty případy nos tu trubku, až ti někdo řekne, že je to easy).
